La Ribera Beach to Los Frailes

Moved from Leonaro to La Ribera public beach. Paddled out and got a nice trigger fish and missed some big corvina. Pushed on to Punta Culmo and got wasted at the dive shop restaurant there. Fun but 955 pesos plus tip. Moved on to Los Frailes (fray-leeze) and parked on the beach to camp for the night. A local Punta Culmo national park dude made us move due to possibility of turtles coming up the beach at night. We pulled back a ways and set up camp. Met a local dude (Dave) who says he caught dorado 2 days ago about 2 miles offshore in 78-80 degree water current. EXCITED NOW! Rigged up the lures and kayak for a super early paddle out. Here's what a trigger fish looks like. Great eating especially for ceviche. The meat is super firm and holds up well when bagged with the lime juice.
